Videographer & Photographer
I am 19 years old and a Fort Wayne native. This fall, I will be attending Indiana University Bloomington to pursue my passion for sports media. I have been filming and editing since 2019. A little fun fact about me is that I was a competitive and school cheerleader for a combined 11 years. In my free time, I enjoy surfing at my lake house, animating, painting, and going to card shows!
After receiving my first PC for Christmas in 2019, I immediately began editing travel vlogs and videos with friends using Premiere Pro, while also incorporating Photoshop into my projects. Over the past few years, I have developed a strong passion for sports videography and editing. I have always enjoyed watching football and basketball with my dad and brothers, and having the opportunity to film from the sidelines has only strengthened my interest in sports media. More recently, I have also begun filming weddings, which has become another area of videography that I truly enjoy.
I am experienced with several programs within Adobe Creative Cloud, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and Audition. Of these programs, Premiere Pro and After Effects are by far my favorites.
Involvements:
Homestead’s oversized cinnamon rolls are a beloved Showcase tradition. During one of the country’s largest high school show choir competitions, I went behind the scenes to document how volunteers prepare hundreds of cinnamon rolls for the event’s performers and guests.
Following the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, temporary airspace closures caused hundreds of Caribbean flights to be canceled. As one of the travelers left stranded, I turned my firsthand experience into a news story; reporting on the disruptions, interviewing other affected passengers, and documenting the uncertainty of trying to return home.
Each holiday season, families line up to experience one of Fort Wayne’s most popular Christmas light displays. I covered the story behind the dazzling show and highlighted how its creators use the attraction to collect food donations for Community Harvest Food Bank, turning a holiday tradition into a way to give back.
For this two-part news package, I visited Indiana University, the University of Saint Francis, and Purdue University to create an informational guide for students preparing for college visits. I highlighted each campus and shared helpful information to give prospective students a better idea of what to expect while exploring their options.
I co-hosted live coverage of Homestead Showcase, one of the country’s largest high school show choir competitions. After watching each group perform, I provided on-camera commentary and analysis of their vocals, choreography, production, costumes, and overall presentation in real time.
As an anchor for HHS In-Depth, I helped deliver our school’s news through a variety of broadcasts covering campus events, student stories, and important announcements.
